Chips and (http://maplered.com) holes in Granite (http://tanbrown.org) - What do I do now?

I have installed Granite (http://tanbrown.org) Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) tops one Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) top is smooth with no bad places; the other is full of chips, small holes, scratch marks and (http://maplered.com) so forth. Had the company come out to look at the problem. He said that Granite (http://tanbrown.org) has that kind of surface, the other piece doesnt, it is real smooth. If I had called them before I had cut it they would exchange it, oh really! It was my fault for not looking at it to begin with. Looks like I will not get any results from them. I told my wife here are the choices, try to repair this top, or remove it and (http://maplered.com) buy another and (http://maplered.com) install it. The price for Granite (http://tanbrown.org) in 9-foot lengths is around 300 dollars. Is it worth it to try to repair or just get another slab and (http://maplered.com) start over? I have worked hard on this by myself and (http://maplered.com) even thought I left the family jewels on the floor when picking up the slab and (http://maplered.com) setting it on the cabinets
